The Feature Films for Education Collection offers hundreds of full-length feature films for educational instructional purposes. It focuses on both current and hard-to-find titles, including dramas, literary adaptations, blockbusters, classics, science fiction, environmental titles, foreign films, social issues, animation studies, Academy Award® winners, and more.  This collection is provided for 9-12 Libraries in O²CM.

Some titles contain mature themes or content; viewer discretion is advised.

Learn 360 has high-quality full-length videos, and video clips in all subject areas including social studies. Video transcripts and related materials such as images, audio titles, articles, activities, and worksheets are available.

Search by keyword or browse by topic, K-12. Videos include customizable interactive quizzes, in-depth viewing statistics, and teacher resources (activities, lessons, handouts).

A quick search for Black History results in thousands of returns. Limit the copyright date to more recent years to narrow results. Note that most programs can be viewed and shared as shorter segments/chapters. Make sure to click the Mailbox icon after you search for printables, activities, and more.

Swank Streaming Video

Swank's Streaming Video collection includes thousands of movies: popular films, documentaries, and educational classics. The Swank platform allows teachers to access and share movies in the classroom and directly with students. With Swank, teachers can even assign movies for students to watch independently at home. Access Swank through your library page for films like:

Brainpop

Brain POP is an award-winning, animated educational resource, including hundreds of standards-aligned animated topics. Subscription also includes puzzles and games, Make-a-Map, and access to My BrainPOP! For grades 3 through 12. Some schools may have BrianPOP Junior for K-2 or BrainPOP ELL for non-native speakers of English. 

Search "Black History" to see categories like: Tuskegee Airmen, the Black Lives Matter Protests, the Tulsa Race Massacre, Juneteenth, various musical styles, biographies, and the Civil War. Topics include articles, movies, quizzes, challenges, and teacher resources.
